Atletico Madrid has signed defender Serge Reguilon on loan from Tottenham.
The Spaniard joins Atletico Madrid on a season-long deal after making 25 Premier League appearances for the club last season.
He has not featured for Spurs this season and recently underwent a groin surgery.
He has fallen down the pecking order under manager Antonio Conte as both Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon are preferred in the left wing-back role.
Reguilon said: “For me its’s a really happy moment. I’m really looking forward to seeing my new teammates, getting to know the group and starting the whole routine.
“I always say, when I talk to people, that the squad Atleti has is to fight for all the titles with players of a very high level and who are playing in their national teams, and I think we can have a great year because we have players in the squad to fight for everything.
“I can bring a lot of energy, I’m a very competitive person, a great team player and above all I can bring the experience I have and make it available to the team. Overall I’m here to add as much as the coach wants me to.”
